Dwyer Returning to Miracle in '07

11/29/06 – Former Expo Jim Dwyer has been
retained as hitting coach for the Fort Myers
Miracle, the Class-A Florida State League affiliate
of the Minnesota Twins. It will be Dwyer’s second
season in that position after spending the
previous nine years as minor league hitting
coordinator.
Originally drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in
1971, Dwyer played 18 seasons in the big
leagues and posted a .260 batting average to go
along with 77 home runs and 349 RBI. He is one
of only 13 players in major league history with at
least 100 career pinch-hits.
Dwyer spent parts of the 1975, 1976 and 1989 seasons with Montreal . He also
had two stints with St. Louis and Minnesota while also playing for the New York
Mets, San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles.
