Harris Recalled By Nats
6/4/06 – The Washington  Nationals have called up former Expos
infielder Brendan Harris from Triple-A New Orleans.  He
assumes the roster spot of pitcher Santiago Ramirez who was
placed on the 15-day disabled list.

Harris was hitting .333, second among all minor leaguers in the
Washington organization.  He also had 11 doubles, four home
runs and 23 RBI for the Zephyrs and his .422 on-base
percentage was fifth best in the Pacific Coast League.  Harris
was 1 for 8 with one walk in seven games for the Nationals in
April.

The 25-year-old was originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 2001 but was
acquired by Montreal on July 31, 2004 in what was part of a four-team trade.  Harris
appeared in 20 games for the Expos, going 8 for 50 with one homer and two RBI.
