Nats Activate Schneider

Brian Schneider was activated from the 15-
day disabled list on Friday after straining
his left hamstring earlier in the month. It
had been just the first time in his seven-
year career that Schneider has gone on
the DL.
Schneider, who was originally drafted by
Montreal Expos in the fifth round of the
1995
amateur draft, was hitting .230 with one
home run and 14 RBI in 30 games this
season before the injury.
In two rehab games with the Carolina
League’s Potomac Nationals, Schneider
went 2 for 9 with a double, RBI and run
scored.
