Larry Parrish To Manage I.L. All-Stars
5/23/06 – Former Expos third baseman Larry
Parrish, currently the manager of the Triple-A
Toledo Mud Hens, will pilot the International
League in their upcoming All-Star Game against
the Pacific Coast League. The annual exhibition
will take place on July 12 at Toledo’s Fifth Third
Field.
Parrish is in his fourth season as manager of
the Mud Hens after guiding them to an 89-55
record last year and the Governors’ Cup title.
For his efforts, The Sporting News named him
their Minor League Manager of the Year.

Originally signed by the Expos as an amateur free agent in 1972, Parrish
made his major league debut in 1974 and spent the first eight of his 15 big
league seasons in Montreal. In 1979, he hit .307 with 30 home runs and 82
RBI and was named to the National League All-Star team as well as Expos
Player of the Year.
