Nats Place Schneider On D.L.
5/13/06 - Washington Nationals catcher Brian
Schneider has been placed on the disabled list
retroactive to May 11 due to a left hamstring
strain. It is just the first time in his seven-year
career that Schneider has gone on the DL.
Schneider, who was originally drafted by
Montreal Expos in the fifth round of the 1995
amatuer draft, was hitting .230 with one home
run and 14 RBI in 30 games this season for
Washington.
