Rivera Back From DL
4/9/06 – Former Expo Juan Rivera has
been activated from the disabled list by
the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.  The
28-year-old outfielder went on the DL on
April 22 after straining his left rib cage.   

Rivera hit .229 with a home run and six
RBI before the injury.  In a two-game
rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A
Salt Lake, he went 5 for 9 with three
doubles, one homer and six RBI.   

Rivera played in 134 games with the
Expos in 2004, posting a .307 batting
average to go
along with 12 home runs and 49 RBI.
