Shines to Pilots Knights

infielder /outfielder Razor Shines has
been promoted by the Chicago White
Sox to manager of their Triple-A affiliate
in Charlotte.
Last season, Shines was named the
Southern League Manager of the Year
after leading the Double-A Birmingham
Barrons to an 82-57 record. Shines led
the Barrons to playoff appearances in
both 2004 and 2005.
Shines played in parts of four seasons
in the majors, all with Montreal. He had
a .185 career average and five RBI over
68 games.
