Day, Rockies Agree to One-Year Contract
1/18/06 - Pitcher Zach Day re-signed with the
Colorado Rockies, agreeing to a one-year
deal worth $600,000.

Last season, Day went 1-2 with a 6.75 ERA
in 12 games for Washington.  On July 13, he

on the 60-day disabled list and missed the
remainder of the season.

Day was originally drafted by the Yankees and
spent time with the Cleveland organization
before making his major league debut with the
Expos in 2002.

Day has a career record of 12-22 with a 4.41 ERA.
